It’s November already! Here is a reminder of the year-end holiday and cut-off dates.

Holiday Schedule – RAM GROUP Office Closures & Service Hours:

Thanksgiving – Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29, 2024 (Closed All Day)
Christmas Eve & Christmas Day – Tuesday, December 24 and Wednesday, December 25, 2024 (Closed All Day)
New Year’s Eve – Tuesday, December 31, 2024 (Closing at Noon)
New Year’s Day – Wednesday, January 1, 2025 (Closed All Day)
The office will be open for service Thursday, December 26; Friday, December 27; Monday, December 30, 2024; Thursday, January 2; and Friday January 3

New Business Reminder:

With most life insurance carriers the last day they will usually acknowledge for issuing ready-to-issue business is Friday, December 20, 2024.

Member Services and Claims Reminder:

For any monetary transactions, including 2024 reportable taxation that needs to be done by year-end, it is RECOMMENDED that all required paperwork that is complete and in good order, be received by Wednesday, December 18, 2024 otherwise most carriers will not be able to fulfill the request in time.

Examples of monetary transactions of the type listed above by contract type and processing area are:

Annuities: Any annuity withdrawal* or surrender that must occur in the 2024 tax year
Insurance: Paperwork for surrenders, loans and/or withdrawals marked “Process in 2024” if required for this year.
Claims: Spouse Transfer or Death Proceeds to New Business.**
- Note: Carriers will do their best to process as many regular claims as we can by year-end.
Annuitizations and Immediate Annuities: Requests from existing contracts or death claim proceeds.**
